  8.           This is Ernie's Budget Program directory
  9.           Contained herein are:
  10.                budget  ......... the program
  11.                budget.doc ...... the documentation
  12.                demo.jou  ....... the first basic demo journal file
  13.                temp.jou  ....... the second demo journal file with accounts
  14.                temp.acct ....... the account file for temp.jou
  15.                budget.info  .... the budget program icon for Workbench

  19.                Read budget.doc  first.   Second command  budget from CLI or
  20.           Workbench. During your  operation  of  the  budget  program, load
  21.           demo.jou first to develop basic familiarity.  Try operations such
  22.           as View/Edit, Reconcile, and  Entry. If  you have  a printer, try
  23.           printing out a Monthly report for February. Later, save this file
  24.           and load temp.jou to see the same journal with accounts.  Now try
  25.           the account  commands for  reports.   Then save the file and make
  26.           your own  journal.  Have fun!

  28.                Be aware this is the first  release of  this program  to new
  29.           users.   Ernie has  used this program since 1978 on two different
  30.           computers in three different languages, this version  is  now  on
  31.           an Amiga  1000 and  3000.  It currently is designed for Workbench
  32.           1.3 but it works under Workbench 2.04.   Next update  is to fully
  33.           incorporate the  new look and 2.04 directory requesters.    Keep 
  34.           in touch, Ernie's address is in the documentation.
